Due to its relatively thick consistency, the gel polish can be used not only as a standalone color but also for designs. It has an optimal curing speed in UV/LED lamps. Prepare the nail plate for gel polish application: perform a manicure and shape the free edge of the nail. If using a remover, wipe off any residue with a damp cloth. 1. Degreasing: Degrease the nail plate mechanically (using a buff) and chemically (with PREPFINISH and a lint–free cloth. 2. Dehydration: Apply NAIL FRESHER to the entire nail and let it air dry until a whitish tint appears on the surface of the nail plate. 3. Bonding: Using a semi–dry brush, apply the acid–free primer ULTRABOND to the entire nail, staying 1mm away from the cuticle and sidewalls. Let it air dry for 15 seconds. 4. Base coat: Apply a uniform layer of base coat. Cure in a UV lamp for 2–3 minutes, or in an LED lamp for 60–90 seconds. For aligning the architecture with the base coat, we recommend using low–acid base coats over the dried foundation. 5. Color: Apply GEL POLISH in 1–2 thin layers, avoiding heavy pressure on the brush. Cure each layer in a UV lamp for 2 minutes, or in an LED lamp for 60 seconds. 6. Top coat: Secure the coverage with a top coat. Cure in a UV lamp for 2–3 minutes, or in an LED lamp for 60 seconds. Allow the top coat to cool completely. For aligning the architecture with the top coat, we recommend using medium–thick and thick top coats. PRO Tip: Cover light and bright gel polishes with top coats containing UV filters to maintain color intensity, and for dark and red colors, use top coats without UV filters to prevent color distortion.
