One Drop Gel is a medium–thick camouflaging gel for nail extensions, reinforcement, and correction of the architecture of medium to long nails. It is used for: – extensions on upper and lower forms – reinforcement and correction of nail architecture as a mono–product and in combined techniques with harder polymer materials. Viscosity: medium. Plasticity: low. Density: medium. Pigmentation: medium. Application technology: 0. Prepare the nail plate: perform a manicure and shape the free edge. 1. Degreasing: degrease the nail plate mechanically (with a buffer) and chemically (with PREPFINISH and a lint–free wipe. 2. Dehydration: apply NAIL FRESHER to the entire nail and allow it to dry in the air until a whitish hue appears on the nail surface. 3. Bonding: skip this step when using the PRO BASE–BOND adhesive base. 4. Base coat: apply an even layer of the base coat PRO BASE–BOND, carefully covering the sidewalls and free edge. Cure the base coat in a UV lamp for 2–3 minutes or in an LED lamp for 60 seconds. 5. Reinforcement: with a gel brush, apply a layer of gel across the entire nail surface, staying 1 mm away from the cuticle. Apply a second leveling layer over the uncured gel, following the main principles for modeling with hard materials. Cure in a UV lamp for 2–4 minutes or in an LED lamp for 90 seconds. Remove the remaining tackiness with PREPFINISH and a lint–free wipe. Use a 150/180 grit file to shape gradually. PRO tips: – to ease material placement, use upper forms or gel tips – to prevent lifting from the free edge, we recommend filing the natural nail from underneath by 1–2mm. Extensions: prepare/install forms one at a time on each finger. Apply a thin base layer of the desired length and shape directly onto the lower or upper form, then model the nail architecture with gel. To create an arch, the gel can be pinched at 7–12 seconds, depending on the type and power of the lamp. Next, cure the nail in the lamp until the gel is fully cured for 60 seconds in an LED lamp or 3–4 minutes in a UV lamp. Remove the remaining tackiness with PREPFINISH and a lint–free wipe. Use a 150/180 grit file to shape gradually. PRO advice: apply gel at least 1mm away from the cuticle to avoid material lifting in this area.
